The rows of brick cottages south of the main road in Winchburgh are some of the best examples of their kind. They were built in the 1890s, and their names reflect the fact that the land is or was part of Hopetoun Estate. This view is of the rear of Oakbank Place on the right and Castle Terrace on the left.
