The building, with hoarding hiding its ground floor, was formerly All Crafts (a DIY shop). Houses have been built on the site following its demolition. Planning permission was approved, with conditions, by Folkestone and Hythe District Council under application number Y10/0417/SH for the “erection of two three-storey houses fronting Victoria Grove, a four-storey block of four flats with upper floor set within roofspace fronting Connaught Road, and single-storey mews dwelling in central part of site”.
