By J.W. Beaumont, from 1894, after an architectural competition. Broadly neo-Jacobean in style, and very red (much more so when the sun shines Image]). The main accents are the pair of towers topped by pinnacles and pyramidal roofs. Grade II listed. Now part of the University of Manchester.
