A view along Oates Street showing the former 'Club and Institute' building, now closed down, for many years this was a favourite meeting place for the local townspeople. The first floor boasted a superbly equipped snooker room, which had a small lift (dumb waiter), from this it was possible to be served with drinks from the bar. A meeting place in the 60's and 70's of dewsbury Round Table.
