This is the southern part of Milking Pen Lane, looking northwards towards the bridge under the London and South Western Railway. Lucas's. on the right, like many houses in Basing, is very old. Whether the name of the bridge is official, or just a children's name that has come into popular use, I am not certain - but everyone calls it 'Cuckoo Bridge'.
