Visible above the departing train, the new footbridge installed in 2013; to the right of the train can be seen the fresh brickwork of one of the new lifts installed as part of the same process. Overlooking the station on the left is Kettering Court, a large block of flats which, together with a supermarket, occupies the site of a former goods yard.
