The Gantock was the most modern of the larger hotels in Gourock which boasted four reasonably sized hotels in living memory (Bay Hotel, Queens Hotel, Castle Levan Hotel).These are all gone, either demolished or converted to some other use. The Gantock site is being developed for housing. The A770 Cloch Road is in the foreground.
