The train has emerged from the tunnel, which is a couple of kilometres to the west, and is passing a 20th century housing estate on the outskirts of Falkirk. Curious how many of the late 20th century council estates in West Lothian have houses with only one half of a pitched roof. They are noticeable in several towns and villages.
