Grade II Listed house on the original site of Aberaeron Isaf farmhouse the home of Captain John Evans who built the Carriage Bach in 1880 to transport workers across the harbour after the main bridge was destroyed by a flood. It was an aerial carriage propelled by hand-operated winches and was in use until the 1920s. Milford House has been known locally as the Stamp House after it appeared on a series of stamps of British Rural Architecture in 1970.
