This innocuous turning off the old road at Little Weir is a spur connecting the former B3227 with Pound Lane End (the A377), and was the only practicable means of turning from the A377 into the B3227 (and vice versa) from the north. The road remains public, but is subject to a traffic regulation order which prohibits motor vehicles except for access, and which prohibits all vehicular movements at the northern junction with Pound Lane End.
