Thornton Heath High Street has many shops like this, which combine general grocery (in particular goods imported from the various countries from which immigrants have come to this part of London) and halal meat. Typically, the front is open to the street like this during opening hours, a shutter coming down at night. The shop can be seen in its context on Image (left side of photo).
