The inscription reads as follows: Reader, Repent, and not delay, for in my youth I was taken away The stone is well weathered, but the name of the unfortunate young man appears to read 'Thomas Tyley', who 'departed this Life' at the age of 25. The date is not fully legible, but I am pretty confident it is January 1745, which is certainly consistent with the style of the stone.
