In Trinity House Chapel, the bell near the lectern commemorates the late Captain Ian North, an Old Boy of the school. He gave his life in the service of his country when his ship 'Atlantic Conveyor' was hit by two Argentine air-launched Exocet missiles on 25 May 1982 during the Falkland's campaign. The missiles were intended for the aircraft carrier Hermes but locked onto Captain North's vessel instead.
