Harlaxton Village Cross

The cross, at the junction of High Street and church Street, is a Grade II listed structure (English Heritage ID:383003 http://www.britishlistedbuildings.co.uk/en-383003-village-cross-harlaxton-lincolnshire British Listed Buildings). According to the listing text, it comprises of an octagonal obelisk, approx 2m high, set on 14th century octagonal moulded pedestal and base of 2 steps. Possibly resited. The cross is probably one of the architectural ornaments introduced to the village ca 1820-1840 by Gregory Gregory, Lord of the Manor of Harlaxton.
