This intriguing house is in Chapel Street. It was built in the 1850s, in an era when interest in Egyptology was at its height. The façade has been renovated using the original colours by the Landmark Trust, who have owned the building since 1968. On the floors above the shop they have formed three apartments as holiday lets.
