DB Schenker class 66, 66005, brings a train of sand through West Hampstead Thameslink station. The service is the 7M62 from Acton to the Tarmac site at St. Pancras Churchyard Sidings, just a short journey down the tracks. The train will have routed from Acton via Acton Wells Junction, Acton Canal Wharf, through Gladstone Park to Dudding Hill Junction to finally join the Midland mainline at Cricklewood curve Junction. The driver is doing his best to accelerate briskly after negotiating the crossovers onto the fast lines but the rain is not helping the adhesion and the sand probably weighs a lot more than it did when loaded now that it's been soaked in water!
