The tower is one of Leicester's newest landmarks, the Summit, a 67 metre tall development of student flats. What a difference compared with my student days, that developers feel it is profitable to build such places for students, furnishing apartments luxuriously, including all mod-cons and a 32" TV in every room... from £110 per week... but then students are expected to borrow to the extent of £30K-40K these days over the three years, so they have plenty of money, for now.
