This early April 2013 view shows the demolition of the former County Hall at an advanced stage. County Hall, which was shared by Monmouthshire and Torfaen councils, closed in March 2012. It would have cost £30 million to repair the building which was condemned because concrete cancer allowed rain to penetrate the cladding, rusting steel supports. http://www.geograph.org.uk/photo/2599278 to a view in September 2011.
