The stone farmhouse at Boarsgrove perches on the edge of a steep-sided valley in which flows a tributary of Oakenclough Brook. The public footpath through the farm takes the line of the narrow dry reentrant pictured (line of trees), which runs at right angles into the main stream valley (see Image).
