A cutmark, preserved when the building was harled (which is quite unusual) on 34 South Street at the junction with Abbey Street. This was used during the First Primary Levelling of Scotland between 1844 & 1860, and was levelled at a height of 62.59 feet above Ordnance Datum Liverpool.
