Lavish use of standard landscaping shrubs to screen busy Coldfield Drive from the car park. Site managers are often nervous about shrubs getting 'too big', ie, attaining their natural stature. So they tie up resources by having them cut down to hedge-trimmer height (a great sport). These show signs of regrowth after the hedge-trimmer treatment. The silvery shrubs in the foreground are Senecio brachyglottis 'Sunshine', the greeny-yellow ones on the right are Cornus stolonifera 'Flaviramea', the crimson-stemmed ones will be varieties of Cornus alba, all good for winter effect. The rest are unidentifiable from the photo.
