On 20th August 2013 a large fire broke out at a waste recycling plant on Bredbury Industrial Estate. Four days later, the fire is contained but still burning. Firemen are tackling the blaze in Oldmoor Road Image up ahead and Whitefield Road Image behind the photographer. Ashton Road is now reopened but buses have been diverted and the bus stop is cordoned off.
