This is located at the junction of Mill Street and Newry Street, Crossmaglen. Óglaigh na hÉireann, meaning Warriors/Soldiers of Ireland, is the official Gaelic title of the Irish Defence Forces. Since the Irish Civil War of 1922, however various paramilitary groups who each regard themselves as the true successors of the men who fought in the Irish War of Independence and who do not recognise the authority of the IDF or of the British Crown Forces have styled themselves as the Óglaigh na hÉireann.
