This photo shows a red GPO telephone box type K by the Chapel Road railway station. This kiosk was introduced during the 1930s,although the grey pay-on-answer telephone inside it was brought in during the early 1960s with the introduction of Subscriber Trunk Dialling (STD) to the United Kingdom.
