The footpath shown links “The Grove” North Ockendon with a group of farms, Home, Corner & Fen Farms in Fen Lane. The path slopes steeply (for Essex!) into the flood plain of the Mardike River Valley with the power lines following the right of way. The photo was taken looking to the East. In the far distance can be seen Westley Heights near Laindon.
