View NW, towards Accrington, Burnley etc.: ex-L&Y (East Lancashire line), Manchester - Bury - Accrington - Burnley. The station had been closed to passengers 7/11/60 (goods 2/11/64): the line closed completely Ramsbottom - Accrington 5/12/66, Bury - Ramsbottom (now heritage East Lancashire Railway) 5/6/72. [Corrections/additions invited, please?].
