Cranny Close is occupied by patients who live in the community under supervision. It is located off the Carrickmore Road and occupied the site that was previously occupied by 12 houses known as Cranny Terrace which was built in 1901 at a cost of £2000 and demolished in August 1985 and which was accommodation for "keepers" at the Tyrone and Fermanagh Hospital. In 1959 the occupants were (1) Charles Ross, (2) John Allen (my uncle), (3) Charles McKelvey, (4) Jack Kempson, (5) Frank Coyle, (6) James McMichael, (7) Michael McCormick, (8) James Thompson, (9) Charles Shannon, (10) Robert Thompson, (11) James McLean, (12) Herbert Armstrong.
