To commemorate 40 years of the cross-border "Enterprise" passenger service, Northern Ireland Railways and the Railways Preservation Society of Ireland operated a special steam hauled excursion from Belfast (Central) to Dublin (Connolly) and return. Seen leaving Portadown, the train is hauled by preserved ex-Great Northern Railway (Ireland) class V compound No. 85. "Merlin".
