Located on National Trust Land adjacent to St.Wilfrid's* Parish Church Mobberley#, this fine old oak tree, well over 100 years of age, succumbed to the gales of January 2007 (TBC) and possibly disease judging by how the trunk split. It possibly features on the turn of the century (1900) cover picture of Mobberley Reflections - a collection of old photographs from around the village. It maybe had a preservation order on it as it was tagged 00548 * http://www.mobberleychurch.co.uk # http://www.mobberley.info
