This short stretch of Oaklawn Road looks like it might have been the former alignment of the road before the M25 (which is beyond the hedge) was built, but Oaklawn Road has always adopted the straight course seen here to the right of the photo. It was probably set out as a diversionary route when the M25 was built, and while a new bridge was constructed to carry Oaklawn Road over the new works, and retained by Dorincourt as an overflow car park.
