A rather casual earth bund blocks off access to the last few metres of Oaklawn Road at the junction with Leatherhead Road. In the early 1990s, the junction was remodelled to create a new roundabout a little north-west of the original junction, calling for a near right-angled turn at the end of Oaklawn Road. The postbox was moved to this location, which is entirely unsuitable (it being difficult to stop in a vehicle in either direction, and being on the wrong side of the road for pedestrians).
