The Reckless Engineer. Who? Mr I.K. Brunel? Surely not! Yes, him. Brunel is rightly acclaimed as one of the finest engineers ever to grace this country. However, it tends to overlook the often fractious and temperamental relationships with backers and other engineers. Pointedly enough, this pub is right opposite the approach to Temple Meads station. Still, here's to his memory.
