The River Lune is hidden by the trees. Borrow Bridge itself does not cross the Lune: instead it crosses Borrow Beck, which flows down Borrowdale from the west (left). This is the almost unknown Borrowdale near Tebay, not the well-known Borrowdale south of Derwent Water!
