Built in the 1960s, the style and materials give away the builder. This is a stand-alone house by Parker Bros., independent of their work on housing estates in the west of the town. The concrete guttering with concealed downpipes, the porch with the steel pole leg, and the offset garage are typical. The tall window in the stairwell is characteristic of their higher-value houses too. This is a nice house in a quiet location. It must have been remarkably special when it was built.
