Victorian corner local at the junction of Cheriton and Western Roads, listed in 2013 Good Beer Guide; internally, L-shaped back bar, with drinking areas on three sides. The pub has some good tilework, advertising the long-defunct Winchester Brewery, and etched glasswork. Five cask ales were on offer at my visit.
