A standard LMS(NCC) design of the 1920s, this cabin controlled the level-crossing gates on the Ballyrobert Road and the junction of the Ballyclare branch (opened 1884, closed 1953) where it joined the Belfast - Londonderry main line at MP 11.51. After Londonderry/Derry line services transferred to Lisburn - Antrim in January 1978, this cabin suffered periods of closure, re-opening and final closure. It was eventually transported and rebuilt at the Downpatrick & Co Down Railway (see: http://www.downrail.co.uk/index.htm ).
