The A4048 from Tredegar reaches Hollybush, a small village north of Markham in Caerphilly County Borough. The Welsh name Llwyncelyn is the exact equivalent of the English Hollybush. Many places in Wales do not have such equivalent names. For example, the literal Welsh form of the nearby town of Newbridge would be Pontnewydd, but that Newbridge is Trecelyn in Welsh.
