Built 1955-61 to the designs of Cotton, Ballard & Blow. Writing in the original Pevsner volume for Warwickshire, Alexandra Wedgwood described the architecture as "a bad joke", a pithy demolition worthy of the great man himself. To be fair she did describe the planning as "good, with arcades at ground level and a service road under the building".
