A private road off Nepcote lane that was developed in the early 1960s having once belonged to Nepcote Lodge racing stables that operated here from the end of the 19th century until 1955 when it closed. The field, known as Colonels Field in the 1839 Findon tithe map, was farmed for a few years then developed in the 1960s with houses fronting onto Nepcote Lane, Steep Lane as well as this private road.
