The gate piers and walls are listed and described at http://www.britishlistedbuildings.co.uk/en-60907-gate-piers-and-walls-at-former-north-west . It must be a long time since this was a used vehicle entrance to Image]; it is at Paynter's Cross, just to the right of the camera in Image], and would have been a dangerous junction when the A388 ran there.
