A fenced-off entrance to this section of the former Sileby Brewery is situated 150 yards ahead. High Street lies 10-15 yards away behind the photographer. This track still provides vehicular access to No.18, a private house at the end of the track, top left. The Sileby Brewery was taken over by the Strettons of Derby in 1920 and later on - in 1927 - by Samuel Allsopp & Sons. This brewery was well-known for stout production. It was in use until the early 1980s and has been awaiting redevelopment since then.
