High Street with the C12th St Mary's Church. The Thai restaurant on the left may have been the location of the former Duke of York pub, in which William Sharpe began his brewing business; the forerunner of the Sileby Brewery. The defunct brewery buildings are still in existence behind the restaurant and redevelopment work is expected to commence on the brewery site "shortly".
