Opened in 1848 by the Maryport & Carlisle Railway on what is today the line from Barrow-in-Furness to Carlisle, this station closed in 1950. View north east towards Wigton and Carlisle. The station approach road was from the left but surprisingly, the main station building appears to have been on the right hand side of the line.
