This church on the junction of Montpellier and Brunswick Square has had more than one change over its life. It was originally built in 1823 "in a plain neo-classical style". However, the front of it was rebuilt in 1900 in Italian Romanesque style. At that early time the Gloucester spa was a prominent attraction and the local area grew up with serving the patrons in mind. It's believed the church was dedicated to Holy Trinity, but in 1979 the title was changed to "Christ Church at the Spa", hence the connection. Inside, the church features a vaulted ceiling, Art Nouveau decorated apse and semi-dome. There is also a Nicholson organ dating back to 1866.
