Spiky, with plenty of Gothic pointed arches, and although decoration has not been skimped on, neither has it been overdone - there are expanses of plain brick. The dressings are in Derbyshire stone, and there is terracotta too (Image]). By Martin & Chamberlain, 1881-85. Grade I listed. Now part of Birmingham City University.
