Wall in alley off Fore Street, Topsham

The wall is made of a variety of materials; at each end, the bricks are "Dutch bricks", thinner than English ones, brought as ballast by ships trading with Topsham. Further along are rounded stones from East Devon (Budleigh Buns) and an assortment of quarried stone from Exeter and East Devon
