This area used to be the Ark Animal Sanctuary, but has recently been demolished as part of a large redevelopment of the site. The plans, drawn up by park owners Eagle One for a major new tourist, retail and leisure attraction feature 60 new holiday lodges and a show ground. A number of animal-related features are included in the plans for the revamped country park with the design including wetland habitats, a nature reserve, angling facilities on the river and three newly created lakes and a farmstead incorporating an education and visitor centre. There will also be adventure and junior play areas, footpath and cycle ways, a skate park and retail area. http://www.worcesternews.co.uk/news/9690060.New_country_park_plans_are_revealed/
