Behind Ormiston Hall

A lovely secluded spot behind the ruins of Ormiston Hall, one of the houses in East Lothian where the Lutheran preacher George Wishart was given hospitality while preaching in the area in 1545. The later 18thC Ormiston House sharing the same site as the Hall built by John Cockburn was destroyed by an accidental fire when Polish soldiers were billeted there during the Second World War. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ormiston#Ormiston_Hall
