From a stationary train looking across the lines towards the overhead signal gantries. The unattached gantry on the far left with no rails underneath it is where tracks used to lead into the long abandoned Mayfield station. The set of rails on the left, underneath the signs DS and US, are the through lines leading on to Oxford Road, Manchester Airport and points West. The near sets terminate at Manchester Piccadilly.
