At the junction of High Street with Market Street. It is difficult to find out much about the history of this Co-op. The Co-operative Society Archives say that the Clay Cross Pioneer Industrial Society merged with the Chesterfield & District Co-operative Society in 1915 (see http://archiveshub.ac.uk/data/gb1499-mid?page=48#id1176123 ). There is also a picture of the store in the 1920's at http://www.picturethepast.org.uk/frontend.php?action=printdetails&keywords=Ref_No_increment;EQUALS;DCHQ007386&prevUrl= .
